Vegetarian Eating in Berlin

Berlin might be one of the best places for a vegetarian to eat as every second restaurant has a good range of options for vegetarians. Obviously I can only talk about where I went to eat so if you have more suggestions please comment below and share them for my next trip there, or for others. I didn't get a chance to explore all of Berlin, so the places I went to are pretty close to Alexanderplatz.

Before going I was told about an app called HappyCow and I would definitely recommend downloading it if you're a non meat eater in a foreign country because it doesn't just give food recommendations, it also lets you search by price range. You don't have to suffer just because you're in a different country.

This might have been my favourite meal of the entire trip, and it was the first one we had in Berlin. We were staying on Rosa-Luxembourg street and the Spreegold there is open until later than most restaurants. Although it's maybe a bit pricier it is so worth it. There was Plenty of option for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. You can find a menu here. I had "Gnocchi Goat" which is potato gnocchi filled with goats cheese in a lovely cream and oh my goodness was it delicious!

Kofler & Kompanie
They have a restaurant in the German Historical Museum in Berlin and the menu is reasonably prices and the food is AMAZING. The staff speak a few different languages and are very friendly. You can find out more about the restaurant I went to here. I had a Flammkuchen Mit Medditerranem GEMÜSE und ZIEGENKÄSE which is a tarte flambee with Mediterranean vegetables and goats cheese. It was delicious.

Supreme Burger Grill & Bar
This one was a hidden gem for my partner and I. It's near Alexanderplatz and does one of the best vegetarian burgers I have ever had the pleasure of eating. It was halloumi with aubergine, zucchini and tomato served with chips on the side. The combination worked so much better than I ever imagined. I definitely recommend this restaurant for one of your meals as it's another one that was reasonably priced. You can find the menu here.

Max Und Moritz
Although (as my partner would tell you) I had a panic here and had to leave pretty quickly, they have good vegetarian options. This restaurant has a very chilled vibe and just generally is the exact place you'd want to go on your holidays. I didn't get a photo of my food, but you can find the menu here.

We went to a few other places, but these are my top picks from the places my partner and I went. Do you have any suggestions for the next time I'm there? Please comment below and tell me.
